Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) is activated in line with statutory requirements when a certain level of weather severity is forecast so that rough-sleepers have indoor accommodation. 

This is usually due to a period of subzero temperatures at night.  You may be aware that last year (as Bristol Methodist Centre) we participated by providing 10 beds, pop-up style. 

This coming winter we are increasing our provision to 18 beds.  We’re delighted to be playing a bigger part. 

Thank you to our team of volunteers who sleep over, whilst agency staff are on hand and awake throughout the night.
